Repositories Programme meeting, 27th-28th March 2006

The JISC Digital Repositories Programme is holding its next Programme meeting at the Warwick Hilton on March 27th-28th. The meeting will be arranged around the following cluster sessions: Data repostories, E-learning, Preservation, Integrating infrastructure, Machine services and Legal / policy issues. CETIS MDR SIG Meeting in York, 1st March 2006

The CETIS Metadata and Digital Repositories SIG held a repositories-related meeting in York on the 1st March 2006. The meeting was used to explore the idea of a reference model for repositories and included presentations from Julie Allinson ('Introduction to reference models for repositories'), Howard Noble ('A reference model for the Accessing and Storing Knowledge (ASK) project'), Mhairi McAlpine ('Assessment item banks as repositories') and Michael Day ('An overview of OAIS'), with a discussion session to end the afternoon.
