The EPrint Application profile is fairly large and bulky, but pretty sensible when you work it through...

An EPrint is defined as a "Scholarly Work". Each "Scholarly Work" is 'expressed' [I wish there was a better "real-english" word] in one (or more) "Expressions". Each "Expression" is made "Manifest" [don't you just love the english language], and therefor has a "Copy".

In terms of people: A "Scholarly Work" has one (or more) creators; An "Expression" has a copyright holder, and maybe an editor; and A "Manifestation" has a publisher. Each of these are defined as "Agents" (phew, an understandable word)

Thus:

Scholarly Work -> Expression -> Manifestation -> Copy
         ^ ^ ^
Agent ----+-----------+---------------+

So, here is a breakdown of each part, and my personal interpretation of what a depositor will find easy to fill in (left column), and what they are likely to skip (right column). I've put an asterisk [*] next to the ones I think are **required**

As I say, the breakdown into columns, and the **required** tagging is my personal opinion, and there to start the ball rolling.
