Reason: Compliance with appropriate standards should ensure that access to Web resources is maximised and that resources can be repurposed using tools such as XSLT.

Tool: The first link (validate) makes use of the W3C HTML compliance checking tool.

You can use the service yourself either by going to the HTML Validator or by entering a URL in the following box:

The second link (Recursive validate) makes use of the Web Design Group HTML compliance checking tool. The recursive validator will check up to 100 pages on your Web site.

Caveats: The first tool will only check your entry page. The second tool will check up to 100 pages.
