Abstract

The seminar on "Exploiting the potential of blogs and social networks" will explore ways in which blogs and social networks can help to engage with the user community, maximise outreach activities and promote the museum.

The seminar will quickly review what blogs and social networks are and provide examples of how they are being used within museum. Examples of best practices will be given and strategies for overcoming institutional inertia to the establishment of blogs will be provided.
