This page provides gives details of the discussion groups at the workshop on Beyond Email: Strategies for Collaborative Working and Learning in the 21st Century organised by the UCISA WLF and UKOLN.

About The Discussion Groups

The afternoon discussion groups will take place from 13:50-14:30, with a report back from 14:50-15:10. The afternoon discussion group follow the case study on use of Blogs in e-learning.

Delegates have been allocated a discussion group (red, blue, yellow or green). The groups have been allocated a discussion topic. Please ensure that you attend the group you have been assigned and that your group sticks to the topic. However if delegates have a stong interest in a topic they have not been allocated, it may be possible to allow a small number of changes.

Note that there will be report backs of the main conclusions from the discussion groups and we will encourage the groups to document their discussions.

Use of Blogs

Use of Blogs

Note that due to the short period of time for the report back, reporters should only report on issues, ideas, suggestions, etc. which the group feel are particularly important or significant. If possible, document other issues on a shared Blog/Wiki to allow others to read after the event.

Discussion Group Notes

If members of the discussion group have network access they may find it useful to make use of a Wiki to key notes of the discussion group. If you have installed Firefox and the Wikalong extension, you can use that to make annotations on this page. Otherwise you can follow this link.

The discussion group notes are now available:
