Brian Kelly facilitated two workshop session on "Web Accessibility 2.0: Revisiting Our Approaches To Web Accessibility" at the NADP Conference: The Future of Supporting Students through Technology conference held in High Wycombe on 17th September 2008.

The session was held from 14.00-14.45 and repeated from 15.00-15.45.

Summary

Web Accessibility 2.0: Revisiting Our Approaches To Web Accessibility

In this workshop session Brian Kelly will describe the holistic approach to Web accessibility which Brian and accessibility researchers and practitioners in the UK and Australia have been developing since 2004.

The workshop session will provide an opportunity for participants to debate how this approach may be applied within the context of learning and explore the strengths and weaknesses of this approach compared with other approaches to enhancing the accessibility of Web resources.

Biographical Details

Brian Kelly Brian Kelly works for UKOLN, a national centre of expertise in digital information funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) and the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA). Brian's job title is UK Web Focus - a national Web coordination and advisory post. His areas of work include Web standards, Web accessibility and promotion of bests practices for use of Web 2.0.
