UKOLN is a national focus of expertise in digital information management based at the University of Bath, providing services to the UK library, education and cultural heritage communities. As a partner in the Digital Curation Centre, we currently have a vacancy for a Research Officer to work on the SCARP project. The post will be a part of the DCC Community Development Team led by UKOLN. Applicants should have knowledge of current digital curation and preservation technologies and associated technical issues together with experience of working with primary research data. Project management expertise is desirable. We are also seeking an awareness of wider issues associated with providing open access to data, user requirements, and eScience initiatives. Applicants will be good communicators with proven ability to produce high quality written reports, briefing papers and presentations. The post is full time but we are open to flexible working arrangements and will negotiate home working where appropriate. The contract will be for two years.
