Carla Stoffle


Carla Stoffle has been Dean of Libraries at the University of Arizona for 5 years, with responsibility for policy development and implementation of services, collection development, library automation, and fundraising. Prior to this she held appointments at the Universities of Michigan and Wisconsin-Parkside. Ms Stoffle has published widely in the area of academic librarianship. Her professional service includes 4 years as Treasurer of the American Library Association and membership of the ALA Executive Board for 7 years. She is also a past president for the Association for College and Research Libraries.

Carla Stoffle gave the Follett Lecture entitled "The Emergence of Education and Knowledge Management/Electronic Publishing as Major Functions of the Digital Library" on 13 November 1996.
