The SKIP Project Team would like to thank the staff and management of the eighteen institutions of higher education who agreed to take part in the SKIP research project during the latter part of 1996 and early part of 1997. Their co-operation, hospitality and helpfulness was much appreciated. We would like to extend our special thanks to those who agreed to be interviewed and gave freely of their time.
We would also like to thank the members of the Project Advisory Group for giving up their time to attend SKIP meetings, and for providing much needed guidance and expert advice at key stages of the project.
We would also like to thank all those who have taken an interest in the work of SKIP throughout the duration of the project. It has been a great incentive to find that so many staff, at all levels, are interested in what we believe to be a fascinating and crucial area of research.
