Overview of event

Aim

To enhance projects' understanding of Service Usage Models and thus support the development of their own SUMs and their understanding of the wider eFramework.

Approach

After a brief review of the concept of a SUM, we will collaboratively work on creating a simple generic repository SUM. We will describe some of the business processes supported by repositories and then identify what technical services are needed to support those business processes.

The workshop experience and creation of a generic SUM for a repository will inform projects as they develop their own SUMS after the workshop.

The workshop will be run by Phil Nicholls the UK eFramework editor and organised by the Repositories Research Team.

Programme

Our running time will be 10-4.

A buffet lunch will be provided.
