How I learned to stop worrying and love the e-strategy

Learning Objectives

The session will enable participants to:

  • Identify the key issues surrounding the development of an institutional e-strategy.
  • Compare notes and experiences of e-strategy development with colleagues from other institutions
  • Explore opportunities, challenges and constraints on the development of an institutional e-strategy.

Timetable

  • Presentation on e-strategies [15 minutes]
  • Small group work discussion on a range of issues associated with e-strategies (each group allocated a separate topic) [45 minutes]
  • Feedback and further discussion with whole group [30 minutes]

Other Issues

How many people would you normally expect to attend a workshop session, as this will have implications for the size of my discussion groups and range of topics discussed? - TBC

Resources requirements:
I will need a room that is capable of hosting a number of small discussion groups, e.g. seating which can be moved around. - OK

I will also require flip charts, pens, blu-tack, whiteboard (or wall if not available), PC with Powerpoint and projector. No need for network access. - OK
