CMS Briefing Session: 27th November 2001

at New Opportunities Fund office in High Holborn, London

The objective of this event was to give projects an opportunity to understand the various functions which a CMS might be able to support, to relate this to their own particular situations and identify a suitable CMS specification to form the basis of an invitation to tender and inform the selection process.  The workshop also offered advice and guidance on selecting an existing system appropriate to the needs of the project.

In preparation, those attending might like to revisit the Information Paper on CMS at
http://www.ukoln.ac.uk/nof/support/help/papers/cms.htm and also Paul Browning and Mike Lowndes' report on CMS for the JISC Technology and Standards Watch
http://www.jisc.ac.uk/techwatch/reports/index.html
