Introductory workshop for Digitisation Projects: Autumn 2001

Representatives from all NOF projects have been invited to an Introductory workshop for Digitisation Projects held in September/October 2001. The workshops have the following key objectives:

  • To give participants an opportunity to engage in discussion with NOF and our partners in the programme – Resource, the UK Office for Libraries Networking (UKOLN), and the Arts and Humanities Data Service (AHDS) –
  • For NOF to explain the grant monitoring and compliance procedures and what support, advice and guidance will be provided during the implementation phase
  • To raise awareness of and debate some of the key topics identified in the feedback from projects as relevant and of interest.
  • Facilitating the building of the Digitisation community so that people can get to know each other and their projects.

11.00        Plenary paper 1 - Monitoring, compliance and project support
11.30        Plenary paper 2 - Good project planning and digitisation

   (2)          Presenting digitised materials for learning
2.15          Plenary paper 3 - Case studies demonstrating good practice
2.45          Tea
3.00          BREAKOUT SESSIONS - repeated
