Attributes are grouped into 3 general areas:

Collection

those attributes that describe the collection. May include title, text description, subject area, strengths/weaknesses, quality(?), relationships(?).

Access

those attributes that describe how to access the collection. May include, host, port, protocol type information for online resources. May include opening times, physical location for physical resources.

Terms and conditions

those attributes that describe any terms and conditions that apply to the collection or to items within the collection. May include licencing, rights management, price.

Note that in some schemes attributes appear in more than one group.

The aim is to determine a 'core' set of collection description attributes.
