The IWMW 2008 Social Network
The Ning social networking service has been
used to set up the IWMW 2008 Social Network.
Aims of the Social Network
The Social Network has been set up for a number of reasons:
- To provide a forum for participants at IWMW 2008 for discussions, sharing resources, etc.
- To support the institutional Web management community of practice.
- To provide participants at IWMW 2008 an opportunity to gain experiences in
uses of social networking services which may be benefical for in-house purposes.
Notes Concerning the Service
Please note the following:
- The IWMW 2008 social networking service is hosted by Ning. This is an
externally-hosted service, and UKOLN cannot guarantee the long-term sustainability
of this service, data uploaded to or created on the service or the privacy of the
service.
- However the Ning help system includes a
section on privacy.
