We're Dreamweaver/Contribute for a lot of our content and while it's manageable at the moment, we do need to be clearer about how new features are integrated into the site, and it's not easy to offer them with Contribute.

Yes Squiz are getting increasingly interested in the HE sector, which obviously tends to gravitate towards low-budget open-source solutions. They nearly came along to IWMW, but thought they might wait till next year.
We're in the early stages of running a pilot at the moment. We use dreamweaver and contribute as a 'CMS' at the moment, and we really need to try to move away from this in the long-term.
Matrix has some nice enterprise level features, and bearing in mind it's basically free/very cheap it seems good. However it does have a few limitations which may or may not be a problem depending on what you want.
