IWMW 2008

Supporting The IWMW 2008 Event

This is very true. I find more and more of my working day relates to researching web 2.0 products seeing how they can be used at the University, can they be mashed integrated with current systems like our Portal. Anybody else out there feel they are doing similar?

That's partly true here at Bath, but politics has a massive role to play, as does ownership and (de)centralisation of data!

Probably a mashup between the 2 - maybe mashup consultants ?
Being a developer in 2.0 world definitely looks very interesting- and looking at the yahoo pipes etc you can see the potential of this approach. With more filters/logic and objects being made available all the time- it will be a world away from where we are just now.
It reminds me of a tracker program called Buzz tracker. When it first started it created simple results, but now with developers creating new objects- the results are amazing. Likewise I'd think that this is probably the case for the approach using pipes et al; so I'd say the future definitely looks exciting for developers !
