Brian Kelly gave a talk on Open Source? No, Open Standards! at the OSSWatch Deployment and Development 2003 conference which was held at the University of Oxford on 11th December 2003.

The presentation took place in the Deployment session which ran from 12:00-13:15.

Biographical Details

Brian Kelly is UK Web Focus - an advisory post funded by the JISC and Resource: the Council for Libraries, Museums and Galleries to support these sectors in making best use of Web technologies.

Brian is based at UKOLN, a national centre of expertise in digital information management which is located in the University of Bath.

In addition to his role as UK Web Focus, Brian is the project manager for the QA Focus and NOF-digitise Technical Advisory Services. These two projects seek to ensure that digital library programmes are functional, interoperable and widely accessible, through use of appropriate standards and best practices.
