The conference was well organised in all respects. Initial information was widely disseminated on the network, with further details being made available via a World Wide Web document containing links to other important sources. Once the paper was accepted, referees' comments were provided and a Microsoft Word template containing the requisite styles for the Proceedings was available by anonymous ftp.
The organisers had negotiated special travel and hotel rates and the facilities of Texas A&M University were of a very high standard. The occasional problem with the shuttle buses was about the only complaint voiced by attendees. Over 130 people attended the conference and a list of attendees is presented as Appendix G. (N.B.
