NewsAgent for Libraries

Import Format

This page describes the way in which metadata embedded into HTML Web pages and e-mail messages is mapped into the OLSTF tagged input format used by the NewsAgent system.

The mappings from HTML META tag name and RFC822 email header field to OLSTF term is as follows:

OLSTF records consist of a set of tagged values, one per line.
Each line contains a 2 letter tag, followed by a space, followed by the tag value.
Each tag starts on a new line.
Each record ends with a line containing a single * (asterix).
Multiple OLSTF records can be given in a single file if necessary.
