Conference venue

The CIG 2006 conference will take place at the University of East Anglia (UEA).

UEA is based approximately 15 minutes from the centre of Norwich.

The conference sessions will take place in the Elizabeth Fry Building and accommodation will be in single ensuite bedrooms in Nelson Court.

Travel to venue

The University and the city of Norwich are well served by road, train and air connections from all regions of the UK. Regular links with the continent by boat and air are also available.

By Car

From London take the M11/A11; just outside Norwich take the A47 towards Swaffham; the University is signposted at the next junction. From the North or the Midlands, use the A47 via King's Lynn, or the A14 to Newmarket and the A11 to Norwich. UEA is situated approx three miles west of the city centre, just off the Earlham Road (B1108).

By Air

Norwich International Airport has scheduled flights to and from Amsterdam, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Manchester and international connections to 200 cities worldwide. The easiest way to reach UEA from the airport is by taxi. If arriving by taxi ask to be set down at the LCR/Union House.

By Rail

Norwich is less than two hours from London (Liverpool Street) and there are excellent intercity links with the rest of the country. A taxi from the station to UEA usually costs about £7.00 - £8.00. There are regular buses direct to the University from outside the station.

By Bus and Coach

National Express coaches run from all major cities in Great Britain to the Surrey Street Bus Station in the city centre. Buses run regularly from Castle Meadow and St Stephen's Street in the city centre to the University campus.
