Pilot.

The pilot study using the methodology was carried out by Owen Massey, a postgraduate library and information studies student at Loughborough University, using the University of Bath Library as the test-bed. The study was carried out during the spring vacation, 2000. Owen Massey's dissertation subsequently won the LIRG postgraduate student prize.
