This is a free one day DevCSI event bringing together software developers, users, project managers and clients particularly in Education (though not exclusively) who are interested in learning more about workflow and business process modelling tools.

Have you ever had to identify the workflow in a task, model it and then incorporate it into the development of some software? Are there business processes that need to be analysed so that some of them can be transferred to an automated software process? Did you try some workflow tools in the past and would like to find out if things have improved?

Workflow tools are graphical tools that can model business process which can contribute to the development of software. There are some tools now that don't require any programming knowledge.

We have invited a number speakers to demonstrate and answer questions about tools they use. There will also be plenty of opportunity for delegates to ask questions, have discussions and network with participants who are using or are re-thinking about using workflow tools and business process modelling software. We have timetabled a number of lightning talks where delegates will be able to talk about a project or issue that concerns them. The day will finish off with a 'bake off' where we will try to compare the different products.

A free lunch and refreshments will be provided.
