About The Exercise

This exercise contains hands-on exercises in tools and services which can be used to submit web resources to search engines.

The aims of the exercises are to:

• Raise awareness that it is possible to submit resources to search engines.
• Provides pointers to further information.

The following issues may be raised in discussion:

• Responsibilities: Who would be responsible for submitting key resources to a search engine? Are these responsibilities clearly defined?
• Software Purchase: Should institutions purchase software or licences for submission services?
