This workshop aims to provide participants with opportunity to:

• Learn about emerging collaborative technologies
• Learn about mobile devices
• Explore how technologies can be used to support your organisation
• Make use of such technologies for real!
• Discuss potential difficulties and dangers
• Develop a strategy for the effective use of such technologies

About The Facilitators

The workshop facilitators, Brian Kelly and Emma Tonkin:

• Based at UKOLN, a national centre of expertise in digital information management
• Located at the University of Bath
• Funded by JISC and the MLA
• Has a responsibility for advising the UK Higher and Further Education and cultural heritage sectors on best practices in digital information management

• Running workshops and events (e.g. the annual Institutional Web Management Workshop)
• Organising UKOLN/UCISA Beyond Email - Strategies For Collaborative Working In The 21st Century and Supporting Technology-Facilitated Learning In The Conference Environment EUNIS 2005 workshops

• Exploiting such technologies to support our work
• Advising others on best practices
• Gaining experiences - before mainstream use!
