Why needed

Conspectus has been in use in the U.S.A. since 80’s, and it is becoming popular in Europe as well; for instance the national collection description initiatives in Czech Republic and Finland have chosen to rely on Conspectus. It is the only generic tool for indicating the completeness of collections.
